Qatar Airways has just announced an aircraft upgrade for their Adelaide QR914/915 service with larger variant of the Airbus A350 family, the Airbus A350-1000 from 29MAR20. The aircraft will help Qatar Airways to increase seat capacity by 16% and 28% more Business Class seats to Adelaide each day. Currently, the airline is operating daily Airbus A350-900s service to Adelaide featuring 36 Business Class (Qsuites) which layout in 1-2-1 Suite Configuration and 247 Economy Class seats which lay out 3-3-3 confirguration for total of 283 seats throughout the plane.

In September this year, Qatar Airways had also upgraded their daily Adelaide flight from Airbus A350-900 to Boeing 777-300ER as a one month to test the amount of passengers fly in and out of Adelaide. The upgration to Airbus A350-1000 is important for the airport's business development strategy. The aircraft also help the airline to transport a bit more freight from Adelaide to Europe.

From March 2020, Qatar Airways will join Cathay Pacific to be one of two airlines operating the Airbus A350-1000 to Australia. Looking forward to see Qatar Airways Airbus A350-1000 in Adelaide in March next year.
