Qantas Boeing 747-438(ER) VH-OEH Antartica Charter 'QF2905'

On 23th November, Qantas Boeing 747-438(ER) VH-OEH did a domestic run between Sydney and Adelaide as preparation for its Antartica Charter flight the next day from Adelaide. The aircraft arrived in Adelaide Int'l (ADL/YPAD) from Sydney Kingsford Smith Int'l (SYD/YSSY) at 2034ACDT as 'QF743'. The aircraft stayed in Adelaide for the night and departed to Antartica next morning.

On 24th November, the aircraft departed Adelaide Int'l (ADL/YPAD) for a 10hours+ flight  sightseeing flight over Antartica at 2100ACDT as 'QF2905'. The aircraft arrived back to Adelaide Int'l (ADL/YPAD) at 2100ACDT after a long flight about 12hours 27minutes. The aircraft stayed in Adelaide Int'l (ADL/YPAD) overnight before returning to Sydney Kingsford (SYD/YSSY) next morning.

On 25th November, after 3 days operating flights in and out Adelaide, the aircraft departed back to Sydney Kingsford Int'l (SYD/YSSY) at 1307ACDT as 'QF736'.

This could be the last time Qantas Boeing 747 ever coming to Adelaide as this flagship will be retired by the end of next year. It's very sad to see this flagship fading out of Qantas's fleet but looking forward to see more next generation aircraft here in Adelaide in the future
