Cathay Pacific Airbus A350-1041 B-LXK diverted to Adelaide Int'l (ADL/YPAD) when it was en-route flight 'CX105' from Hong Kong Int'l (HKG/VHHH) to Melbourne Tullamarine Int'l (MEL/YMML) due to low visibility and strong winds in Melbourne.
The aircraft arrived in Adelaide Int'l (ADL/YPAD) from Hong Kong Int'l (HKG/VHHH) at 1201ACDT. After a quick refuel in Adelaide Int'l (ADL/YPAD), the aircraft then continued its journey to Melbourne Tullamarine Int'l (MEL/YMML) at 1326ACDT using the same flight number as 'CX105'.
This marked as first visit of Cathay Pacific Airbus A350-1041 to Adelaide as well as the first ever visit of Airbus A350-1000 in Adelaide. This also be the second visit of Cathay Pacific Airbus A350 in Adelaide, the last one was their Airbus A350-941 B-LRA also diverted to Adelaide due to bad weather in Melbourne back in late 2017.
