As you may have seen my previous posts about Qatar Airways Adelaide aircraft change from couple weeks ago. Qatar Airways announced that from 07SEP19 to 01OCT19, they will be operating Boeing 777-300ER instead of usual Airbus A350-900 for the whole month of September. QR A350-900 A7-ALY honours operated last QR A350 flight yesterday. After a long wait, Qatar Airways has finally deployed their Boeing 777-300ER to Adelaide.
Qatar Airways Boeing 777-3DZ(ER) A7-BER arrived in Adelaide Int'l (ADL/YPAD) from Doha Hamad Int'l (DOH/OTHH) at 1700ACST as QR914 after a flight time of 13hours. The aircraft stayed in Adelaide for couple of hours before heading back to Doha Hamad Int'l (DOH/OTHH) at 2215ACST as QR915. This marked as Qatar Airways Boeing 777-3DZ(ER) A7-BER first ever visited Adelaide as well as the second time Qatar Boeing 777-300ER had visited Adelaide, first Qatar Airways Boeing 777-300ER visits Adelaide was A7-BEJ back in April 2017 which diverted to Adelaide from Melbourne due to bad weather there.
This also the 4th times Qatar Boeing 777s had visited Adelaide, 2 other 777s were the Boeing 777-2DZ(LR) which diverted to Adelaide for a fuel stop due to fuel shortage in Auckland back in September 2017. Looking forward to see more Qatar Boeing 777-300ER registration block to Adelaide in the future.
